We've arrived safe and sound in Kampala - yea!! Had a couple of flight delays, but generally everything went really well. Our flight from Newark to Brussels was on a 777; we each had our own screen to watch on-demand movies and play games. That really made a big difference. Pastor Schlie managed to fast forward his way through 6 movies.
From Brussels to Entebbe, the plane was very empty and we each had 2 or 3 seats to ourselves so there was a lot of sleep going on. That was a nice change!
We got to eat dinner at the hotel around 10:00. It was so good to be sitting outside under the stars again!
We've already had breakfast this morning and are waiting on the bus to come get us. Kind of doing some touristy things today and then on to Nakabango first thing tomorrow morning. Please keep us all in your prayers this week. What a blessing to represent Messiah Lutheran Church in this way!

ReplyDeleteGlad you arrived safely and had such creature comforts during your trip. I know they will be sorely lacking once you get to Jinja. I wish I could somehow clone myself to be there with you but please know the entire team is in my prayers all day long. I know how exhausting those days in the village can be. You will be interested in knowing it is probably hotter in St. Louis than it is in Uganda right now. Heat index of 118 today:) Take care and say hello to all. Linda Cole
